1C

We had a bigger class than usual tonight. We had one observer and Sayo was back. Sayo is teaching 6th grade this year, so she has been busy getting ready for graduation. Keiko (Chikudai) was in Toyokoro for the All Japan University Curling Championships. Her team lost in the qualifying rounds, but she still had good time. The other Keiko had a boring weekend.

People's explanations on how to use the different machines I assigned last week were very good. Keiko left out one important point on how to use the Tokachi Bus, but otherwise it was easy to understand. The difficult problem was on the Duet exercise. Doing the origami following your partner's instructions was more difficult. The wallet wasn't so hard, but people really had trouble making the penguin. It was even harder trying to teach me to make a crane. The results weren't very impressive.

The homework for next week is to do the Solo and cut out the cards on page 123.

Yukie joined us for a make up class today. She said she will be going to Kansai for a cherry blossom tour in early April. Mika's husband made her a good Doll's Day dinner. I suggested she have him whip up something for the end of term pot luck party. Kumiko said her and her husband watched Two Towers on DVD and plan to go to The Return of the King this coming Sunday.

The homework for next week is to do the Solo exercise and cut out the cards on page 133.
