The three regulars tonight. It would be nice to have four people because there are some pair work activities that I would like to do. Maybe Manami can make it back next week. We still have two more classes, so I hope everyone can make it.

Chiaki, Maki, and Yukie all three practiced poem number 1 by Helen Steiner Rice. I thought it was the most fun to read out loud, but like the message in poem 3 by Peter Dale Winbrow.

The homework is to do the Grammar in Detail on page 116 and 117.

My Weekend

In the morning on Saturday I shoveled some snow off the roof of my garage. I didn't do too much, but just enough so the melting snow wouldn't run down the side of the building. In the afternoon, my family and I went to the Hokkaido, Obihiro Museum of Art for the exhibit on American Modernism. There weren't very many pieces that I liked, but the guide made it a little more interesting.

On Sunday we had another winter BBQ. It is nice having them in the winter because you don't have to worry about bugs. Hans and Alison's friends from Australia came and I think they had a good time. The weather was really nice and there was no wind. We will probably do this more next winter.
