Use Google to search for "San Francisco Hockey" and see what comes up. I guess playing for the 'quakes wouldn't be so bad ... But their page linked me to the Yerba Buena Ice Skating & Bowling Center which I could walk to (carrying a hockey bag) from work. But this leads to a familiar problem: getting equipment down here. Last term I was dying for my bike, because renting one that I liked less cost $50 per day. But boxing it up and shipping it here, only to do the same thing again in three months is such a headache. Same story with hockey equipment. Maybe I'll just buy skates, as I'd planned to anyway, and just take skating lessons. 12:21:01 PM     comment []

I made it through my computerized workout at the Y yesterday. On the first day, you and your trainer guy design your program with the software, then each machine has a little screen that tells you what to do (reps/sets/weight/range of motion). That's EXACTLY what I wanted. Maybe I'll go again today -- Nothing else to do. 9:50:19 AM     comment []
