D-Day plus 59 years Canada has opened the Juno Beach Centre in Normandy, France to commemorate Canada’s role in the liberation of Europe. Among those at the opening ceremonies were Prime Minister Jean Chrétien , French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin and Ontario Premier Ernie Eves. The Guardian which habitually blames Israel for all wrongs in the Middle East has published another editorial by an Arab explaining why Palestinians should have a right of return, a demand that destroys all hope for peace. Palestine's indigenous people were evicted, terrorised or fled from their homes in 1948 to be replaced by a foreign Jewish population, mainly from Europe, intent on taking their place. Like other people making this claim, the author does not understand that the world didn’t start in 633 CE or even 70CE.
