Noah Richler suggests that while Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix may have sold many more copies than its predecessors during their first weekends, the publisher Raincoast Press has to be careful to avoid printing too many copies. Like movies there is a substantial drop-off from initial to later sales and the risk of having piles of unsold books on hand means that the publishers should risk printing too few second run copies than too many. 11:35:40 PM
