Time for The Guardian to Run another correction In a review of a pro-Palestinian book by two professors, The Guardian’s Ian Gilmour misleads people by stating: 'There was no such thing as Palestinians,' maintained Golda Meir, who hailed from Milwaukee. While she lived in Milwaukee Golda Meir was born in Russia and like many other Russian Jews would eventually move to Israel. The rest of the review touches only briefly on the fact that Israel is the historical homeland of the Jewish people before repeatedly discussing disposed Palestinians. It does not mention at all the Arab refusal to accept any of the British or United Nations partition plans because unless the Jewish inhabitants, they wanted all of the land. Overall the typical slanted and sloppy writing you find from much of this rag. 12:11:51 PM ![]() |
