- Tim Jarrett has released AmazonHandler 1.0. It provides OS X scripters with common subroutines for interacting with Amazon's web services interface via SOAP.

MacNN: MacSpeech debuts ScriptPaks for Quark, iTunes

- "MacSpeech today announced ScriptPaks for QuarkXPress and iTunes. ScriptPaks are plug-ins that add application-specific commands to the company's iListen application, as well as its free Mac OS 9-only ListenDo! utility."

It's my understanding that a ScriptPak is a collection of AppleScript scripts that install into an iListen Command Set or ListenDo! vocabulary file.

iPat Randomizer v2.1

- iPat Randomizer is an AppleScript Studio application designed for creating random playlists from an iTunes library. The user can designate a specific size, track count and/or name for the random playlist, and can filter tracks used for the random playlist based on whether the Library track is enabled or not. I was unable to locate release notes.

iTar v1.0

- iTar is a GUI front-end for gnutar. It allows for easily adding several files from different locations to the tar archive. iTar is an AppleScript Studio application based on an example from Apple.
