Play Sound 1.0.6
Play Sound is a scriptable faceless background application that allows AppleScript writers to play Mac OS System sounds, System sound files and QuickTime sound files. Release notes: Play Sound now waits for all currently playing sounds to finish playing before responding to the “quit” command. This means that it is no longer necessary to place “delay” commands in scripts before telling Play Sound to quit.

Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes: New scripts and RSS feed
Doug Adams tells us that several scripts have been added to Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes, a web site that offers free AppleScripts for iTunes and resources for users who write them. This week's additions include Stop Track!, Rename Files 1.2.1, Audition End of Track, iTunes FMP Database 1.5, playlistbot, and CD Label of Selected Playlist v0.5c. Doug is also pleased to announce that a RSS feed is now available for users who wish to stay updated on site news by subscribing with their favorite RSS reader.
