New problem

I'm so tired of trying to figure out why/when my entries will get posted. It seems that the original problem (getting an error when posting) is gone, but no clear solution was ever identified. Not unusual when troubleshooting computers and software, I know. However, now I have a new problem. My webpages seem to update, but I can't see the updates until much later (even if I clear my IE cache.) I have to point IE directly to my index.html page, instead of the basic http address.  Shouldn't both bring up the same page?
