Rory Perry's Weblog Law, technology, and the courts
Thursday, December 19, 2002
Another eCourt blogger I'm glad to see that Roger Winters has revived his blog about electronic court records. He posted these recent developments: a) adoption of the Court Filing 1.1 Recommended Standard by the Joint Technology Committee of the Council of State Court Administrators/National Association for Court Management (COSCA/NACM) b) initial online meetings for OASIS Legal XML technical committees, including "Court Filing," "Integrated Justice," "E-Notary," "Legislative Documents," "Contracts," and "Transcripts," with the startup meeting for "Online Dispute Resolution" to come soon. c) adoption of the Electronic Court Filing Functional Standards by the JTC of COSCA/NACM followed by a 90-day comment period that ended October 21st with promises of more to come. Roger is Electronic Court Records Manager for the King County Superior Court Clerk's Office (Seattle), and has been heavily involved in the LegalXML efforts underway now at OASIS. 4:35:38 PM [Permanent Link]
