Dave Sifry has just come out with his first product at Sputnik, Inc. It's a cool 802.11 base station. I used a prototype of this product at Larry Lessig's Spectrum Conference at Stanford in February. Lots of users, and didn't skip a beat. I'm glad to see Dave ship, he's one of the few these days who has the guts to ship new technology products, and I'm sure it's great, and I wish him the best. I may try to accept this challenge from Dave. XML-RPC and RSS should be a place to start. I'm starting to see some convergence between the macroscope visualization of social spaces and the various outliner challenges.
My goal is to get a set of work-alike directory browsers and outliner authoring tools in a variety of different environments, open source and commercial, much as there are many different implementations of XML-RPC, SOAP and RSS. I want to demo these at OSCOM on May 28.
