More on Grant's Service Grant's memorial service was the lead story on the evening news as well as the cover story in today's Anchorage Daily News. I actually thought the Channel 2 news article was better written than the Daily News' article. The Channel 2 site definitely has more pictures - in fact, you can see my back in one of the pictures. I'm in the blue jacket sitting on the picnic bench. Immediately after the service, I headed out on the trails at Kincaid. I had a specific location in mind - Serenity View. It's Kincaid's highest point. The vistas are stunning. I wanted to be in a place where I could absorb what had just happened and where I could re-affirm the good in the world. The empty bench.
