2:04 PM AST: LOVE the Super Bowl MVP countdown. BTW - Larry Csonka is now an Alaska resident and has had a bit of trouble with the authorities.
2:10 PM AST: Well, it's obvious that the Ford Field crowd is a Steelers crowed. Look at all those Terrible Towels.
2:11 PM AST: Let's make a new law: ARETHA should be simply be our defacto Star Spangled Banner singer. But solo - not with a choir.
2:17 PM: I really like the "I'm Going to Disney World" ad. It's sweet.
2:18 PM AST: The Harrison Ford/Dr. Seuss/Super Bowl MVP thing is kind of cute. But a tad odd. It definitely gets points for originality.

2:31 PM AST: Seahawks looked pretty good on their first possession, but I'm not feeling good that they ended up having to punt. And I admit that I'm nervous about the Steeler's upcoming first possesion.
2:33 PM AST: I usually hate light beer ads. But the hiding the Bud Light's in the office as a moral booster was pretty funny. The Whopperettes were a bit over the top.

2:47 PM AST: We have a WINNER! LOVE the FedEx neanderthal ad. That was also Tyge's favorite. When the pterodactyl screeched, Tyge jumped up and went to nose to nose with the TV and the pterodactyl.

3:32 PM AST: Hines Ward was wide open in the end zone but the pass was a bit long/wide.

3:58 AST: Now, Tyge and I are off to doggy obedience. Can you believe this??? Leaving at half time???? However, we now have a guest poster: "The Ski Boy".

4:08 AST: Half time show underway--looks like Charlie Watts was exhumed just before the Stones started to perform!
4:11 AST: Mick looses his tails! But the man still rocks! Wonder if the loyal football fans will stay for the second half.

4:27 AST: Seems wrong that the post half time intermission commercial break is longer than the half time show!
4:32 /AST: Willie Parker breaks the 75 yard td run. If Seattle can not come right back, this could be the end of the game!
4:39AST: That is the second pass Stevens has missed catching. That hurts.
4:41 AST: Second long missed field goal. Things are looking grim for Seattle, particularly since Steelers will get very good field position for their next posession.
4:52 AST: Huge interception by Herndon on the goal line! Seattle needs to score a TD on this one!
4:54 AST: About time! A big offensive play by the Sea Hawks--and Stevens redeems himself. The game is one again!
5:00 AST: 3 and out for Steelers, but the Hawks defensive folks are going down like flies. They better take some time off the board and get another score, because their defense may be increasingly suspect with loss of three starters.
5:03 at: They are asking for votes on MVP already. So far, I can not think anyone is deserving.
5:06 AST: Darn. Three and out for the Hawks--just short on the third down pass.
5:09 AST: Three and out for Steelers. Ben R has not played real well so far, luckily for Seattle. Hasselbeck has been better, but his ends have dropped too many passes. Great punt by Seattle, putting them back near the 5. This will be important to see if Seattle can get decent field position back.
5:14 AST: Start of a good drive by Seattle. Out near mid field to start the 4th quarter. Hasselbeck playing very well.
5:15 AST: So far, none of the commercials in second half have even been worth comment--either bad enough or good enough to note.
5:19 AST: Good drive down to 24. Two big third down plays. Notice that neither of Steelers two big guys have made any big plays --yikes, not sooner do I have that thought than Al M. makes the exact same comment. Darn. Another penalty takes away big play by the Hawks, and replay makes the call look questionable.
5:22 AST: Crap. Interception by Steelers. First really bad pass for Hawks.
5:26 PM AST: Slat Rat here. Tyge and I have returned from doggie training class. Tyge, me, and the instructor were the only ones there. I have this feeling that I should have stayed at class. I'm not very thrilled with the score and the Steelers are driving after the interception.
5:27 PM AST: Shit. The gadget play. Touchdown Steelers.
5:33 PM AST: Hasselback's fumble. I quit. I hope they review it. This needs to be reviewed.
5:34 PM AST: I'm appalled by the Honda truck add with the female silhouette.
5:39 PM AST: So, the fumble was overruled. But the Seahawks still have to punt. I think the game is over. sigh...
5:54 PM AST: Two minute warning. Steelers have this thing won. sigh... I think I'm particularly peeved by Stevens. Trash talks all week and then drops two big passes including one touchdown.
6:03 PM AST: Game over. The Pittsburg Steelers are your Super Bowl Champions. My MVP choice is Hines Ward. The best ad was the Fed Ex neanderthal ad.
