I'm contemplating starting a contest - the great bar names of all time. I was inspired by Suzanne's very cute post describing the "Steppe Inn" - a unique watering hole in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The Steppe Inn is open only on Friday nights from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. It's operated by the British Embassy and evidently it's quite the gathering spot.
Anyhoo, I just love the name, "Steppe Inn". That has to be at least a triple pun. I was also reminded of a few long ago Anchorage bars that are no longer in existance: "The Elbow Room", "The Idle Hour", etc.
So, here's the contest - list the name of a bar or bars that you think have an abolutely drop dead name. This is the one time where I actually approve of puns - and the better the pun, the higher the score. I haven't decided upon a prize - maybe a bottle of Peter's favorite mango margarita mix. That stuff is fabulous and would work even without the alcohol!
