Much to Peter's eye-rolling chagrin, we're incorporating a few jewish traditions into our wedding ceremony. One of those traditions is the Chuppah.
Chuppahs are very nifty four posted canopies under which the bride, groom, and officiant stand during the ceremony. I of course, wanted a chuppah - it's such a wonderful symbol. But chuppahs don't grow on trees.
Fortunately, my goyim, but very talented Government Hill neighbors have stepped into the breech and are in the process of constructing a chuppah.
Here's Steve with the top part of the chuppah - Steve is the carpenter. Kathryn G., Allison, Bernie, and Kathryn E. will be the decorators.
Peter and I are going to have the most amazing chuppa.
