Saturday, the Ski Boy and I had quite the packed day. We spent the morning hiking hither and yon, up and down between deep forest and the beach - all in one large fabulous place: Discovery Park. Of course, you can guess why we were there - there were geocaches to be found!!!!! We had a marvelous morning, including a very adventuresome (for us) bus ride to and from the park. Peter and I usually are cab or rent-a-car people, but we decided to ride the bus - Seattle has a highly regarded bus system and everyone seems to ride the bus. So, why not us???

Anyhoo, it was glorious day and the views were breathtaking.

After geoaching, we caught the bus back towntown, dined al fresco at Cafe Campagne (croque monsieurs and alsatian reislings) and then walked back up to the Vintage Park. On our way back to the hotel, we came across a very nifty sandcastle competition in downtown Seattle. Just like snow sculptures or ice carving!!!!

We finished up the day with a night of Red Sox-Mariner's baseball - and of course, the Mariners scounced (a Ski Boy-ism) the Bosmos.

But, what a Perfect Day!!!!

On the South Bluff of Discovery Park.

The name of this work in sand is "A Plumbers Worst Nightmare".

Bigfoot. If you look closely, you can see that Bigfoot is crushing a New York Yankee baseball player.
