We have had a few uninterrupted weeks of sunshine here in Switzerland. Temperatures between 12 and 18 degrees centigrade and blue skies. But there are dark clouds on the horizon: the weekend, it is reported, will bring rain.
In Iraq sandstorms are hindering the advance of the allies. The calm before the miltary storm? Meanwhile the planners are already laying plans for the reconstruction of Iraq. Dick Cheney's Halliburton will get a sizeable chunk: "the only contractor that could commence implementing the complex contingency plan on extremely short notice." Company personnel were in Iraq well before the contract was announced.
