Arundhati Roy's article is a bit too vitriolic for my liking. <Sarcasm on>. In the bitter attack on the US and UK she uses four letter words (such as sh*t) that should not be in a decent newspaper such as The Guardian. <Sarcasm off>. The last part however, is interesting: She says that Bush is one of the weakest presidents and can be booted out if his subjects see where this is all heading. I, however, have my doubts that the masses can be woken up from their stupor. With the majority of the developed world watching Ozzie's reality show (shocked) and the rest content with sanitized news from CNN (awed), who is she addressing? Of course, one could plead with the TV watchers to switch their channel to an honest news station but, alas, there is none.
