Analyst Nick Greenaway says: shelve your 3G plans - the ROI is too far off. Other commentators don't agree though. Elsewhere in 3G-land, Hutchinson 3G, whose consumer brand will be 3, may miss its dates as its handsets won't pass testing in time.

Vodafone and Vivendi have used Vizzavi to make $1bn disappear, and Vivendi's half is valued at E150m. Viv are in a big money hole, and the sale will help a little. The future?: We would not be surprised to see Vizzavi disappearing from view, before being quietly whacked in a couple of years. We hope we're wrong.
