Missed another Tarheel blogger gathering I wish I could have made it over the Continental Divide to Greensboro, N.C., for the ConvergeSouth conference this weekend. It would have been a chance to reconnect with a bunch of old friends and make some new ones, but it wasn't in the cards. However, since the topic was the convergence of online and offline media, there were more than a few people with blogs there -- if they weren't too busy to take notes. It'll take some catching up (fall break next weekend?), but these are the folks I'll be trusting to bring me up to date, since I know (or suspect) they were there: Paul Jones (And I wish Phil Meyer had a blog, since I see he was there.) (Ditto for Theresa Styles, a former classmate of mine.) Dave Winer Anton Zuicker Jay Rosen Ed Cone Atrios Amanda Congdon (Except that Rocketboom only flies on weekdays.) The GSO BlogCon Blog Michael Silence (Update: Except that I don't see anything suggesting he went.) Instapundit (Update: Don't see anything about the event there. Is this the one conference he's missing this year?) Hey... Did anyone from Tennessee get to this thing? I just skimmed the recent headings of more than 100 RTB blogs and didn't see a "Converge" anywhere. I've just got to get out more... 4:11:57 PM    comment []
