okay, so I'm going to be late for work, now.

My furry woodcreature friend recently sent me the words to Wonder Woman TV show. I hadn't listened to that song since I was young, and probably never picked out the words. My favorite line is, "Make the liars tell the truth." Though, there is something compelling about fighting for your rights in satin tights!

Listen along!
****
A picture named ww_stars.jpg Wonder Woman!
Wonder Woman!

All the world is waiting for you
and the power you possess
In your satin tights
fighting for your rights
And the old red white and blue

Wonder Woman!
Wonder Woman!

Now the world is ready for you
and the wonders you can do
Make a hawk a dove
stop a war with love
Make a liar tell the truth

Wonder Woman!
Get us out from under, Wonder Woman

All our hopes are pinned upon you
and the magic that you do
Stop a bullet cold
make the axis fold
change their minds and change the world

Wonder Woman!
Wonder Woman!

You're a wonder, Wonder Woman!

Whoever knew WW was a pacifist! Okay, everyone spin 'round, let's see if that helps the mess the world is in.

Off to work.

Hello all!

I have a few moments before going to work, and wanted to take this moment to start my first blog.

Women I admire (descriptions and links to follow when I have more time):
Barbara Lee
Amy Goodman
Winona Laduke
Sojourner Truth
Judi Bari
Emma Goldman
Medea Benjamin
Julia Butterfly Hill
Jane Goodall

This isn't a complete list by any means, it's just the names of women that readily come to mind. Almost all are still living, and I've had the good fortune of meeting 6 of them. Common thread: challenging social, political and environmental injustices, pushing the envelope of societal norms for women, opening doors for others, and fearlessly persistent in their goals some in the face of death (barbara lee, judi bari, julia butterfly hill, and amy goodman).

More inspiring women to come.
