So the plumber says the bathtub takes longer to fill because Canadian laws restrict how much water can come out of the tap.. Hmm.

Google is awesome.

XML is good for some things, and not good for others.  It's the "not good for others" part that's really hard to convince people of.

People are concerned about games being addictive, but there's another problem with games like EverQuest, Asheron's Call, Dark Age of Camelot and so on, and that's that once you get to the higher level game, they just stop being fun.

I mean, playing Dungeon Siege is fun, but logging into EverQuest for another night of killing the same creatures over and over without moving more than a few feet from the spot I started out in, well, it's not really fun.  It's rewarding, in a way - if I do that enough I'll get to go somewhere else and do the same thing.

If I log in and spend 3 hours fighting in the Dreadlands, what's the end result?  A number in a database somewhere in California gets a little bigger.

Of course the contractor tried to say that this is normal.  When I pointed out I have another tub in the house that fills at the normal rate, well, now they're going to get back to me.  Plus, the installer took my old faucet and shower head away - and the shower head was a custom one that I intended to keep using.  I'll keep you posted, not that there's anyone reading this anyway.  :)
