Articles like these make me glad Slate is free. I almost paid for Slate back when they went subscription only; they went back to free. I keep hoping Salon will do the same, but I don't see it happening.

Sweet! The movie theater near my mom's house in Cincinnati has digital projection!

It'd be nice to see a movie without noticing print artifacts and those "cigarette burns" in the upper-right-hand corner of the movie. I think that's one of the reasons I like watching DVD's in my suite instead of Film Society: the prints have been through a lot by the time they get to CWRU.
