Xbox hacking not for amateurs. The first add-ons that purportedly allow the console to play illegally copied game software have gone on sale, but analysts say they're unlikely to inspire a wave of copy infringement. [CNET News.com]
I think someone on Slashdot quoted the website as saying, "Only 31 wires to solder!"

I saw a bumper sticker on a pickup truck: "Only in America: While a homeless vet sleeps in a cardboard box, a draft dodger sleeps in the white house." Pretty much sums up Sharonville.

I got three cavities filled. I can't feel my mouth at all. Hopefully it'll go away soon so I can eat something.
Looks like I might be going to Cleveland on Thursday to meet with my advisor. I think I'm pretty much done doing stuff for the thesis, but I need to work on the write-up, etc. There's a lot of "TODO: Write this" comments.

I should have just bit the bullet and installed SQL Server (MSDE) a while ago; then I could write logical things like, "select vms_in_use, average(purity) from R group by vms_in_use" instead of having to mess with Python and whatnot.
OTOH, I'm getting more used to (aka more productive with) the command-line. I wrote program which reads in numbers from stdin and outputs various statistics. When combined with "cut", it's a pretty powerful tool. (There's also a switch to generate LaTeX tables directly. Sad.)
