Working 2 weeks a month would be pretty cool.

Also, after Monday, I won't see anyone in my suite for a very, very long time.

The fact that I will never have to take another test or final again is finally starting to sink in.

The thesis is a heavy burden, though. (I've basically got batch files that'll generate summary tables now, though.)

Amid the dreck there's actually a tradition of worthy British World Cup pop. It begins with England's official tune for the 1986 cup, the new wave band New Order's "World in Motion." [Slate]

Except the fourth hit on Google says that it was released in 1990.

And why is Slate linking to Real Audio files?

E-mail: When E stands for embarrassing. E-mail has caused much hand-wringing in corporate cultures, leading to a shift in company policies and practices related to e-mail monitoring and its destruction. [CNET News.com]

I have all my personal email since like 1994 or so. I can only imagine what kind of embarrassing stuff is in it... Pretty sure the SEC doesn't care, though.

DOH! I didn't check the executions before clustering them. I'm sure I'll get better results now that the failed executions are flagged as failed.

My dad is coming into town tomorrow [Friday]. This means I'll miss Mike and Liz's wedding on Saturday, unfortunately. I won't make it to Brad and Heather's either. All the more reason to have a 5 or 10-year suite reunion in Vegas.

RealNames is going out of business. They deserve it. It was just a dumb scam to try and establish yet another Verisign-like monopoly on everybody else's trademarks. And it was a "boil the ocean" business plan, one which required everybody on earth to go along with their stupid scheme. And Keith Teare's public crybabying is really quite unprofessional, albeit fun to read. [Joel on Software]

Heh heh...
