An interesting article on Alan Ball, who wrote the amazing American Beauty, and is the producer/writer/creator of Six Feet Under, which if you haven't been watching, you are missing out on just how good episodic television can be. [Preaching to the Perverted]

I drove eight hours today. I lost a filling. I got three hours of sleep. I also found out that I'll have to fly back to defend my thesis. Will the fun ever start?

I've been noticing a lot of minor editing errors on TV and in magazines/web sites. I can't tell if it's because I'm hypersensitive from editing my thesis, or because editing is getting worse. Headline News seems to make a lot of mistakes, so do the local news/cable channels (and especially local commercials).

RFC3285: Using Microsoft Word to create Internet Drafts and RFCs. M.... [Latest RFC's]

Pretty funny stuff... Does anyone print RFCs anyway?  It might be cool to get a big book of them, but I don't think I could stand reading "72 Characters per line, 58 lines per page" in a fixed-width font for more than about 10 minutes.
