"Flash 6 player spying on you..." - This thread has gone around for a few days. Seems that someone was right clicking on a Flash movie and got the dialog for Flash to use the camera and the mike. The reader was concerned and posted those concerns and then it got picked up and blown up.
Truth is that Flash CAN use the camera and the mike on your machine IF you allow it to each time a Flash movie is downloaded that asks to use it. If you don't allow it, the movie cannot use the camera and the mike. There is no over ride for this.
