Web Services standards - There is an interesting article on Web Services at c|net news this morning. There are several standards organizations that are competing over standards for Web Services. The main two are the W3C, which is generally against using patented IP in its standards, and the OASIS which seems less concerned about the ownership of IP. The situation though is interesting in that Microsoft, HP, Sun and BEA and a number of other big players are involved on the different sides of the issue. If they can not come together, there may be yet another set of competing standards which would not bode well for anyone. 10:19:10 AM      comment []
