About half of the tech workers that I know in Seattle are currently unemployed. But, there is hope on the horizon [here].

Even though more than 500,000 IT workers have lost their jobs in the past year, 1.1 million tech jobs will need to be filled in the next year, according to a survey of hiring managers by the Information Technology Association of America, a nonprofit advocacy group for the high-tech industry.

So, maybe my unemployment checks will last until more jobs become available...
