pocket money for Zebu DE I've always wanted to translate Der schockwellenreiter to find out why it's so popular. Thanks to Google's translation, now you can; well, sort of.... Hey, does that translation really mean: "Gabi wants not to let the reproach of the Geizes sit on itself. It  thinks of a pocket money solution for Zebu after..." The author, "whose friends call him "Jörg« (with german umlaut) and that's pronounced somewhat between »York« and »Yerk«" ", used to run an English mirror, but discontinued it in March, due to problems with the ManilaBridgeBlogger. ... sounds familiar... Now that I can read "Shock Wave Rider" (in amusingly broken English), it's easy to see why people read it: Jörg writes about  the latest and greatest software and writing tools for the web savy writer. He has the pulse of the web recorded in his watchful blog and he tracks the latest in communication innovation (that and some amusing web sites.) (Naturally, he uses Radioland software for his own site.) An example of the useful software he finds (a mangled translation follows):

"[ Ultra liberally RSS more parser ] . rssparser.py , at RSS more parser that CAN acts all child OF crappy RSS feed . [ dive into Marks ] TO ["Shock Wave Rider"]" (That's something I can definitely use: if you want to read the latest news or research an issue thoroughly, you need this.] I wonder if Google can automatically send an RSS translated feed: wouldn't that be cool!]

Dog News streams to two site over at blogspot.com; right now the xManilaBridgeBlogger is working just perfectly and it's an incredible feature of Radioland... but then, maybe Shock Wave Rider's server requires a complicated setup. (Our chow is snoozing at my feet this very moment; he needs his beauty rest so he can wake us up at 2:00 and 3:00 a.m., so he can get some petting and hugs in.)
Doggy DVD video for your pampered pooch USA "speeDVD Releases ''Digital
Daycare for pets'' DVD; The First DVD Intended for Pets -- Over 120 Minutes of Video with Surround Audio Shot Entirely from a Dog's Perspective... Intended for the dog who has everything..."

The ideal video according to our dog's taste: ...backend views of other dog's heinees ... sniffing trees ... reading other doggy messages in their pooh ... sniffing pooh... sniffing flowers  a little bit of Animal Planet's Breed all about it snipped in ... absolutely no Emergency Vets ... absolutely no Beware of Dog ... chasing kitty cats ... getting into garbage cans ... and no talking dogs...  You can get "Digital Day Care for pets" from speedvd.com
Police: dog rescuer kept 86 pit bulls crated in 100 degree heat  CA A former dog rescuer turned "dog collector" kept 86 dogs stacked in crates "so small they could neither stand nor lie down, in a house in which temperatures reached 100, police said." Claudia Madrid, superintendent of the Burbank Animal Shelter, said  [I was] "surprised the dogs didn't go insane. Instead, when we opened their crates, we had our faces and elbows washed, we were licked so much." The dogs were glad to see people... [Modesto Bee State News]
The case of the pet perfume parody  Tommy Hilfiger didn't like "Tommy Holedigger' and sued. He lost. "The maker of Holedigger, Nature Labs LLC, sells numerous other parody fragrances for pets, including Pucci (Gucci), Bono Sports (Ralph Lauren's Polo Sports) and Miss Claybone (Liz Claiborne)..." [Law.com]
...and there's "White Dalmations Girl"  dog perfume, and "Eau de Canine"...
Dog traps driver on the run UK Police dog Arnie sniffed out a drunk driving suspect when the man ran down an alley and hid in a bin full of rotting trash. Despite the foul smell, the dog nosed him out anyway: "With Arnie, criminals can run, but they can't hide. There's always a scent he can find and follow."... [Manchester Online]
Cops say man ransomed dog's ashes CA "A San Mateo man accused of trying to swindle a family out of $1,500 in exchange for the return of their dead dog's ashes will enter a plea on first-degree burglary and attempted extortion charges Thursday in San Mateo County Superior Court..." [SF Gate ]
Java Syntax: a doggy language  It's a good bet this developer has a dog... And his dog is really smart. (dog updates his profile...)

"This week we're going to delve deeper into Java syntax by reviewing last week's Starter program in detail. We have already examined the code for instantiating one object Dog myDog new Dog Last week we instantiated an array of objects with the following code Dog& 091 & 093 myDoggies new Dog& 091 3& 093 Note that this code does not construct any Dog objects the default constructor for the Dog class is not involved."
