(We always bring more than one leash (just in case we lose one), dog shampoo (just in case he gets into something stinky), more than one dog bowl, lots of bottled water, poop baggies, and baby sunscreen (for the dog with little hair, but ours is positively furry). We use flea, tick and heart-worm prevention medicine year-round; why risk discontinuing it for the winter; dogs can die from heart-worm which is difficult to treat once it gets established.
