Yard dog's luck runs out: shot dead by cops  IL Burger, Jaaron Foster's pet dog, is now effectively 'dead meat', but you can't fault Foster for lack of trying to avoid just such a terrible fate for his beloved rottweiler. According to Foster, three years ago, police shot his then 8-year-old dog in his fenced yard. After that harrowing event, he always secured the wrought iron fence with a metal pin and three years passed without Burger ever escaping the fenced yard. A week ago, Burger got shot again -- this time, dead; and the shooter,  a cop who was serving a warrant on an empty house, claimed the dog charged at him...
