PeopleSoft to triple staff in India. The software maker intends to add 1,000 workers to its staff in Bangalore, India, by the end of the year, accelerating its plan to tap the country's low-cost labor force. [CNET News.com - Front Door]
I overheard a brief conversation about the potential for offshoring information development recently, that went something like: "Management thought we could identify tasks vs. features, and offshore writing about tasks, but concluded that we can't." Which doesn't mean they've stopped thinking about it.
