I didn't notice until today that Boingo has finally released its client for Mac: Mac Boingo.

Now I'm not entirely sure that I'll need/use it, but it's nice that Mac Boingo is finally here. In the last year or so, Boingo has consolidated coverage with various other WiFi providers, including Surf and Sip, which I had previously used up at Lake Tahoe. But, if I can find free WiFi I'll use that in preference to a paid network. And I will still prefer a hotel with free WiFi over one that charges $10 a day.
