Hunter Thompson apparently shot himself.

When "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" was serialized in Rolling Stone in 1972, my roommate and I dedicated the park across the street (in La Jolla) by inscribing "Raoul Duke Memorial Park" in the wet cement of the new sidewalk. It was still there when I visited two years ago. Thompson's nom de plume lives on, of course, in Doonesbury's Uncle Duke.

"So the answer to who should own user experience is simple. Everyone should, but no one should own it completely."

Phew, I'm glad we have that settled (again; the BayDUX gathering last October pretty much came to the same conclusion). Now can we get on with focusing on users?
