A brief lesson:
"Be quick but do not hurry."
John Wooden (1910-) Hall of Fame basketball coach of UCLA won a record 10 NCAA championships
Way back when I was in graduate school at UCLA, I'd go running on the track, until I hurt my knees and I had to stop. John Wooden was out there, too, running, slowly (he'd already had one heart attack). I'd lap him three or four times; he was in no hurry.
UCLA won the NCAA championship that year, the last of Wooden's 10. And he's still with us, at 96. Guess running slowly is better than not running at all.
