Just when I was going to use the famous Watson quote, I learn from FC that it originated with Eliot Noyes:
The Designer Who Meant Business. It is somehow fitting that what is arguably corporate design's most powerful mantra[~]"Good design is good business"[~]is widely credited to former IBM chief Thomas Watson Jr., but was in fact formulated by the architect and industrial designer Eliot Noyes. . . [ Fast Company] Of course, it doesn't hurt Watson's reputation to have the good sense to repurpose a good line. Now I'll have to read up on Noyes.
