Great party last night -- the rain forced is to consolidate at the Hoggard's -- thanks to whoever carried the keg over from Matt & Mel's -- and big thanks to the various Whartons, Hoggards, and Grosses who made it happen. I consumed the perfect amount of barbecue and beer, talked to a lot of interesting folks, taxied a load or three through the deluge, and made it home to watch the end of Dodgeball with elements of my own family, some of whom I have not seen in a while now. DarkTimes: MoDo and Tierney trash Miers. The liberal Dowd lets conservatives do the work for her, quoting everyone from Bork ("a disaster on every level") to Krauthammer ("a joke"). Tierney looks for conservatives to support the pick, and doesn't find much.
