Come August, one year ago I signed on with Starband as nearly my only two-way satellite broadband option. Over the course of the year, service has had it's glitches but been generally pretty good for my professional and home useage purposes.
Unfortunately, a couple of days ago I received an email announcement from Starband that they've filed for bankruptcy. Somehow their assurances that all I need do is continue to enjoy my uninterrupted service as usual fails to reassure me. Maybe it was the whining email I'd received a week before about their lawsuit against EchoStar (providers of my DISH Network tv service) -- who offered the special combined package with my Starband ISP.
Maybe I should look into starting my own DSL service...

My other less cumbersome alternative is leaving my 80k/sec downloads and going back to a 3k/sec max over a 28k dialup connection.
