You know being laid up this long is starting to get to me when I begin to notice strange spiritual thoughts in glossy-glam action flicks:

Strange how we humans sometimes focus on the past as our primary reference point. Finding ourselves in a tough spot, we almost invariably compare the miserable present to the glorious rosy colored past -- like some kind of involuntary reflex. Sure, it's nothing new I suppose.

In all honesty, I think I used to pray quite often that God would make things they way they used to be -- or me more like the way I used to be, somehow. More often now, I tend to say thanks for whatever I am, pray for direction and wisdom to keep moving ahead, moving through, moving on...
