There was a sobering article in Monday's Wall Street Journal about rent-a-coder.  It is a meat market for coders.  I imagined something like this a while ago, but in my daydream they were paying western salaries.  There seems to be a lot of Americans and Europeans doing it.  Maybe when I start experimenting with Modafinil, I can do rent-a-coder at night. I rode in again this morning and refreshed all systems. Someone methodically smashed beer bottles every 25 yards along the Mississippi River Trail that I take.  It may have been the Dominican Militiants.  Yes.  They saw my bike route on my web site and the next time they were out carousing and had to get rid of their empties, they hit the bike trail.  The ride seemed to ease the stiffness in my lower back that has been bothering me for a week.  Of course, it hurts less than the concrete turtle incident.  All back pain must be compared to the concrete turtle incident.    My back hurt about like it does now, so I thought I would stretch it out by laying face down on a big concrete turtle at Lake Nokomis.  Bad Idea.  My back just convulsed with pain and I let out a big moan on top of that turtle.  Sunday morning walkers adjusted their paths to avoid me.  Kate was away at the swing sets with Maggie and she said she was aware of some commotion over by the turtle, but didn't pay attention.  I slid off the turtle on to the sand and waited for Kate to come looking for me.  I eventually got to a chiropractor who gave me some exercises to stave off "acute" back pain and it has worked so far.
