Browser Wars I made the switch to Mozilla and love every last thing about it except this bug, in which Mozilla reuses an open browser window when I click on a link from an email or try to launch another web site with a keystroke. There is no way to turn this behavior off through the user interface. Several workarounds were posted in the notes and the one that works is to create the files "user.js" and "prefs.js" if they are not already there in C:\Program Files\Mozilla.org\mozilla\defaults\profile and insert the line:
in each of them. Besides the problem of asking users to open up javascript files and edit them, it looks like this will be over-written if I install a new version. 8:56:13 PM ![]() |
