From the initial Quiksilver Pro on Australia's Gold Coast in March, then right through the Pacific leg, Japan, South Africa, the all-important European leg and Brazilian event, before the final stages are completed in surfing's Mecca of Hawaii, at the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. Viewers will feel the adrenalin of pulling into a massive barrel at Teahupoo, Tahiti, and equally sense the frustration as surfers lose close judging decisions and are sent packing to the next event. More than ever before, US enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy the world's best surfing from the comfort of their armchairs at home. With one of the most speculated and highly anticipated world title races currently underway between reigning world champ Andy Irons (Kauai, Haw) and six-time winner Kelly Slater (FL, USA), followed closely by West Australian Taj Burrow and fellow countrymen Joel Parkinson and Mick Fanning (both from Gold Coast, QLD), the excitement and drama of their campaigns is being captured for all to see.
