Dr. Dean on DV - Digital Video 9/30/03
Governor Dean on Video.
As we enter the final stretch of this record-breaking, history-making drive to restore politics to the American people, Governor Dean has prepared a message for the online supporters who built this campaign, and who have brought the net-roots into modern politics.
Last night, Governor Dean also posted here on the blog:
I want to thank you for all of your hard work on my behalf. Running for President is an amazing and awesome experience and knowing that I have your support means a great deal to me. As I've said many times, this campaign is not about me ? it's about you and it's about all of us joining together to change this country.
I don't get to read the blog as much as I'd like to, but I do read it from time to time and one thing is clear: this campaign is made up of determined people! (Not to mention people who need to get some sleep.)
I hope you know how much I appreciate what you are doing. YOU are making this campaign a success. Thank you.

Molecular Level
Liquid crystal:

Since liquid crystal material conducts electricity, it can be imaged on the molecular level by Scanning Tunneling Microscopy, or STM. In the picture above (by J. S. Foster and J. E. Frommer) the crystals are relaxed, and opaque. Below, in a picture by D. Smith, H. Hörber, Ch. Gerber and G. Binnig*, the crystals are partly excited, and thus transparent because the ends have bunched up:

* G. Binnig along with H. Rohrer invented the STM in 1985. [101-365]

reference
A Matter of Perspective. A few references about everything perspective. Interesting: P.Le Dubreuil, La Perspective pratique , Paris, 1642, translated by E.Chambers, undated, c1730. Dubreuil's La Perspective pratique , was first published anonymously, and then fast became the definitive perspective book for architects, artists and other interested parties. The English translation, rich in plates and concise intruction, was given a new introduction by Mr.Hodgson. According to Lawrence Wright ( Perspective in Perspective , RKP London 1983) the book remianed standard until the publication of Pozzo's Perspectiva pictorum et architectorum in Rome in 1693 with a London edition in 1707.
