Mobile Hotspots With Backhaul
Mobile Hotspots with Backhaul. It's a trend: several people have built usable Wi-Fi hotspots that use a variety of techniques for backhaul to bring access to performance venues, outdoor events, and disaster sites (reg. req.; get generic user/pwd): The latest wrinkle is a musician and tech entrepreneur who uses an old TV transmission van to connect to his wireless broadband receivers around town. He has transceivers on top of skyscrapers used to bring point-to-point wireless to his Implex.net customers, but coincidentally offering him backhaul for art and music projects. The article also talks about bikes, mopeds, and golf carts equipped as hotspots. With the addition of a system like that from Junxion, any vehicle with a cigarette lighter within cell data range can become a mobile hotspot, too. And then there's the planes, boats, trains, and buses coming down the pipe. Escape Wi-Fi? Never! Not even if you want to.... [Wi-Fi Networking News]

Tomorrow, November 2, Is Elections Day - From AZ Dems
"Soon the campaign will be over, and the election will be in your hands," John Kerry said this Sunday in his last radio address to the nation before we elect him the 44th President of the United States. Well, that and the more than 20,000 volunteers we have working all around Arizona who are going to making sure that everyone gets out to vote and that Election Day runs smoothly.

We are so grateful for all your support. The countless hours you have put into this campaign have made a difference, and you have proved to America, the pollsters and the pundits that Democrats in Arizona are a force to be reckoned with. We are strong, we are organized, and we are ready to win this state for John Kerry and John Edwards.

We also have a great Democratic team up and down the ticket so be sure to vote for all of them! Click here to see a list of Congressional and legislative candidates we are supporting. Arizona's Democrats are getting noticed and are going to win with your help.

We have a chance for a fresh start, a new America, one where we are once again strong at home and respected in the world. Are you willing to help us make that new America a reality? So bring your friends, your neighbors, husbands, wives, children, parents and grandparents with you when you vote, or make sure they go to their own polls.

This is a historic election, the most important in our lifetimes. The day after Election Day, November 3rd, we look forward to waking up to a new America, with John Kerry and John Edwards as our new president and vice president, after having turned Arizona a solid shade of blue.

Some Important Reminders...

* If you have already requested a mail-in ballot, and have not yet sent it in, DON'T! Drop it off at any polling place within your County on Election Day.
* If you have moved within your County, and have not notified your local Recorder, you have the right to vote a provisional ballot at the polling location for your new address.
* Polls are open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. You will be able to cast a vote if you are in line at 7:00 pm, even if there is a long wait. Be patient. Be sure to stay on line - every vote counts!
* Need a ride to the polls, please call your local field office. You can find the number to your office by clicking here.
* Any questions about voting? Need to find your polling location? Please call us at (602) 298-4200, or, to find your voting location, you can click here.

Have any trouble voting? Anything or anyone try to confuse you or question your right to vote?
Let us know right away. Give us a call, any time starting before the polls open on Election Day, at 877-AZ-VOTES (877-298-6937).
