New Activities

Tomorrow is the start of a new set of activities. It will be the first session with my new tutor student. This time it is a 4th grade boy. I'll be working mostly on spelling and handwriting. He is a creative speller and would rather do anything than physically write.

I am also starting (with Norma) to write my/our Concept Functional Grammar book (we have to come up with a jazzy title) for teachers, students, and maybe general public. It is my how-to, but Norma has perfected it for a four-day week for whole year with jr. high and high school students rather than my three-day week for a semester at UAA. She is doing a lot of the input, and I am doing all of the writing, and Marty will do the copy editing. Norma will be creating the student worksheets---those that she has been using. Our plan is to have it to a publisher by this time next year. However, life does tend to get in the way from time to time.

This week I'm teaching my A B C's of Stocks. It meets the next two Tuesdays. I mapped out the content this morning. It is part of the background info from the Teacher Econ and Stocks class I teach each fall.

In a couple weeks I do another three-Tuesday night sessions of Choosing Quality Stocks.

It is nice to be back teaching and writing.

Also, I'm still shopping for new stocks. I seem to have gotten stuck on drug and medical device companies.

In the stock department it would nice if the ones I own would go up and the ones on my watch list would go down.

I certainly came back from D.C. fully charged. For me D.C. must mean direct current.
