Blog Site, I have missed you!

The Teachers' book---how to successfully teach grammar to those who have been unable to makes sense of it---is on it's way. That was my Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. It's nice to be back to writing. It adds a nice structure and rhythm to my days and weeks.

I don't remember what Tuesday was. Oh yes, a 30-minute conference call concerning the Stock Market Game, a two-hour Singerland Institute executive board conference call, and the last meeting of the ABC's stock class I was teaching.

I took today off and researched how to analyze insurance companies. I finished my notes on that and sent them off to several on my investment club friends who are going to be working on Insurance stocks. I'm going to do three such companies, MMC, HRH, BRO. Insurance companies are not high growth companies, more like low intermediate growth (10 to 13 percent) which doesn't really thrill me. Also insurance companies are interest-rate sensitive, and the club is considering them now that interest rates have bottomed. Do I sound prejudiced?

I can tell I have been listening to the CD, I Am Anne Frank by Enid Futterman and Michael Cohen because I wanted to begin this post with Dear Kitty and end it with Good-Night, Kitty.
