Good luck to the M&G, under new ownership. (Thanks to woza.co.za for the link). It's going to be tough without the Guardian's deep pockets. The paper is an independent voice that needs to be heard, even if it sometimes seems to irritate Thabo Mbeki, Essop Pahad and their minions. Howard Barrell's editorial today, setting out his credo is admirable. I hope he and his team make it, and I hope he can afford to retain the likes of Robert Kirby, John Matshikiza and Sipho Seepe, not to mention the redoubtable Krisjan Lemmer..

Go for it, Ernie! You need a Claret Jug in your trophy cabinet. I hope you're still 3 shots in the lead come Sunday afternoon.

Ah hah! I told you so. "All Blacks Deny Racism". Even their own guys are beginning to notice and comment on the fact that the All Blacks are now All White. Chris Laidlaw, ex-NZ scrumhalf great, and race relations conciliator(!) has drawn attention to the Polynesian purge.
