Cyprus cliffhanger - again, for the umpteenth time since the 1950's. Will there be an agreement? Given past form, unlikely, things will bumble along until Turkey enters the EU, if that ever happens.
What seems to be true is that relations between Greece aand Turkey, and at a human level between the South and North of Cyprus seem to be improving, and better than ever.

UPDATE 12:45am: As predicted, no final breakthrough; Kofi Annan is speaking on CNN as I write, and we proceed to parallel referenda among both communities on April 24. A very dignified and solemn announcement by Annan, but very tense body language among the four delegations around the room.
