SHOT TO DEATH: Amar Briscoe, former UNLV
LAS VEGAS -- Associated Press reports former UNLV defensive back Amar Brisco was shot and killed in an argument with security guards outside a Las Vegas nightclub. The 24-year-old Brisco was shot about 3 a.m. Sunday after apparently arguing about a valet parking space. Three guards involved told police that Brisco drove his car into one of them, throwing him through the windshield.

CHARGES DROPPED: Brian Burgdorf, former Alabama
BESSEMER, Ala. -- Associated Press reports a judge dismissed bad check charges against former Alabama quarterback Brian Burgdorf on Monday after deciding he did not criminally intend to write the more than $15,000 in bad checks.
